What happens to your data? - Information on data protection
The Catholic University of Applied Sciences North Rhine-Westphalia (hereinafter: katho) operates in accordance with the provisions of the European Data Protection Regulation, the Church Data Protection Act and all other data protection regulations.
The following data will be collected as part of this study: experience of gender-based violence and the context in which it occurred, and information on psychosocial health. This includes information on your gender, ethnic origin and migration history, age, education, marital status, religious affiliation, spoken language(s) and income.
The data is stored completely anonymously, i.e. without giving your name or address, so that it is not possible to draw any conclusions about your person under any circumstances. The anonymised data is stored for at least ten years. After that, they are destroyed in accordance with data protection regulations.
The publishing of research results in scientific publications (such as project reports, (technical) articles or dissertations), in lectures or other presentation formats (such as posters) takes place exclusively in anonymous form and does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about you as a person at any time.
In any case, your participation in this study is voluntary. If you decide not to participate or withdraw or limit your consent, you will not suffer any disadvantages as a result. Once the data has been made anonymous, it can no longer be corrected or deleted.
